A film built for the conversation ahead

IPO launch and listing-related films

Introduce the company's operations, capabilities and approved business story for a listing-related presentation or launch. Shape the film around the information your leadership team and appointed advisers have cleared for that audience and occasion.

AGM and shareholder films

Connect the year's business developments, performance and strategic priorities in a story shareholders can follow. For a group with several businesses, establish the common thread and give each contribution its proper place.

Investor-facing corporate films

Explain the company for investor meetings, corporate introductions and continuing investor-relations use. Plan the right balance of operations, leadership and supporting information, with versions suited to the intended presentation channels.

Give each part of the business a place in the story

A construction project, an offshore operation and a consumer product each need a different explanation. Within a diversified group, the film also needs to show how those businesses connect.

We begin with what the audience should understand about the company. That guides the choice of business milestones, operational footage, leadership perspectives and supporting graphics. Each element needs a reason to be there.

The script and storyboard bring those decisions together before filming and editing. Your reviewers can see which information is included, how the story progresses and what the audience is being asked to understand.

Plan the production around the presentation

Define the brief and source material. Agree the audience, intended use, presentation date and available assets. Identify the approved documents and the people responsible for checking business and financial information.

Develop the narrative and storyboard. Shape the script and visual sequence around the central message. Check substantive statements against the agreed sources and resolve missing information with the relevant reviewers.

Produce and review the film. Scope filming, interviews, existing footage, graphics, voice-over and language versions. Agree review rounds, collated feedback and decision dates so amendments have a clear route into the edit.

Prepare the approved presentation version. Confirm wording, figures, credits, asset rights and final sign-off. Match delivery formats to the event provider's or publishing team's requirements.

PurplePerfect provides creative production. Your company and its appointed advisers retain responsibility for financial, legal and disclosure approvals.

What can your production include?

A proposal can include narrative development, scriptwriting, storyboarding, operational filming, interviews, editing, motion graphics, voice-over, subtitles and presentation versions.

Tell us if you need a shorter event opener, English and Bahasa Malaysia versions, or a separate website edit. These choices affect the script, production scope and approval schedule. The quotation should specify the deliverables, review rounds and intended uses.

What makes an AGM or investor video worth remembering?

A great AGM or investor video makes a complex business understandable, gives the audience credible reasons to believe its story, and leaves them with a clear idea of the company's direction.

Our creative principle is Clarity → Evidence → Meaning → Memory.

Clarity — Give the audience a central idea. Start with the business question the film must answer. Organise the story around it, giving each business segment and milestone a clear role.

Evidence — Make the story visible. Use real operations, approved figures and specific examples to substantiate the message. Let the audience see the work behind the statement.

Meaning — Explain why it matters. Connect achievements to their significance for the business and its stakeholders. Show the people, decisions and capabilities behind the performance. Give viewers a reason to care about what comes next.

Memory — Give the story a recognisable thread. Carry one central idea through the opening, the evidence and the closing. Use purposeful imagery, varied pacing and room for important information to register. Close with a thought the audience can carry into the next conversation.

For an AGM, that thread connects the reporting period to the company's direction. For an IPO or investor presentation, it connects what the business does with the evidence supporting its story.

IPO project evidence and listed-company communications

Kitacon — Construction-sector IPO communications

PurplePerfect produced a corporate film for Kitacon's IPO communications. The work included storyboard development and shoot preparation, covering crew coordination, scheduling and workplace presentation. Shoot planning also addressed confidential information that could appear on screens.

Kumpulan Kitacon Berhad listed on Bursa Malaysia's Main Market on 17 January 2023.

Steel Hawk — Energy-services IPO communications

PurplePerfect completed a corporate film for Steel Hawk in 2024 for an IPO communication brief, presenting the company and its energy-services work.

Steel Hawk's original LEAP Market listing on 29 October 2021 preceded its later move to the ACE Market through an IPO. The 2024 film belongs to that later communication context.

KJTS — Post-listing corporate communications

PurplePerfect's 2024 corporate-video engagement for KJTS focused on the company presentation for its cooling-energy and building-support services business.

KJTS listed on Bursa Malaysia's ACE Market on 26 January 2024. The corporate-video engagement followed the listing and forms part of its post-listing company communications.

Questions before you commission

How do you explain a group with several businesses?

Start with how the businesses contribute to the group, what changed during the period and which priorities connect them. Agree that structure before dividing the film into business segments. Identify the source material and reviewers for each segment so the group narrative remains consistent.

How are financial figures and business claims checked?

Identify the approved annual report, prospectus, presentation or other source material for the film. Script and storyboard reviews give your finance, investor-relations and communications teams defined points to check figures, wording and visual meaning. Your company and appointed advisers approve financial and disclosure content before release.

What changes when a film is shown at a virtual or hybrid AGM?

Confirm its place in the meeting agenda and obtain the event provider's playback requirements. The brief can then specify runtime, aspect ratio, captions, audio and delivery formats. Livestreaming, voting, registration and meeting-platform operation are separate services that require their own agreed scope.

What determines the production budget?

The main factors are story complexity, filming locations and days, available footage, animation, language versions, delivery formats and review requirements. Share the intended use and presentation date so we can assess the work and prepare a scoped quotation.

How early should we begin?

Begin when the purpose and review owners can be identified. Source-material readiness, filming access, production scope and approval rounds determine the workable schedule. We assess those requirements before committing to a delivery date.

Can existing footage, photographs and presentation material be used?

Yes, subject to quality, relevance and usage rights. An asset review helps establish what supports the story and where new production is needed. Let us know which material is current, who owns it and whether it is cleared for the intended audience and channel.

Can the film be used after the event?

Agree later uses and versions in the brief. Figures, forward-looking statements and asset rights may need checking before a film moves from an event presentation to a public website. A shorter edit or revised introduction can be scoped around that next use.

Can a regional team commission production in Malaysia?

Yes—share the Malaysian filming locations, intended markets, languages and decision-makers' time zones. We can assess the production and review arrangements for your brief. Filming or localisation outside Malaysia should be scoped separately.

What do you need to prepare a proposal?

Start with your company and industry, intended audience, communication type, presentation date and available material. Indicate whether you need new filming, animation or language versions, and who will review the script. A short, non-confidential brief is enough to begin the conversation.

Planning your project

How do we fit several business updates into an AGM film?

Choose the main shareholder message, then decide which information needs narration, which is better shown through graphics, and which belongs in the accompanying presentation. Agree the reporting period and approved sources before compressing the script. Review language and playback requirements as part of delivery.

What does your next investor presentation need to explain?

Tell us your industry, audience and presentation date, whether you need an IPO-related film, an AGM video or a corporate introduction, and what material is already available. We will use the brief to assess the story, production requirements and review schedule for your proposal.
